Thorpeness ranked in UK top-100 courses
One of the best winter courses in England

Whether you are a serious golfer looking to lower your handicap or a social golfer looking to meet new people we have something for you. Many of our Club competitions date back to the 1920’s and all major trophy winners have their names forever listed in our wood panelled Braid’s Bar.
The course itself is 18 challenging holes in stunning Suffolk countryside, a heath-land James Braid design that over the years has continuously been improved while still retaining the original design. Built on a sandy soil base Thorpeness is widely regarded as one of the best winter courses in England having only closed 7 times in the past 10 years.
