Plumber at The Hotel Folk

Pay: circa £35,000 per annum

Hours: Up to 24 hours per week

 

We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a qualified plumber to join our team at The Hotel Folk. You will be required to work at any of our 6 properties within the group to maintain all our plumbing needs.

You will also be supported by the central maintenance team that comprises of an electrician, painter/decorator and general builders/labourers

This is a part-time role working up to 24 hours per week, occasional weekend work may be required within this. Salary is circa £35,000 per annum pro rata for the hours worked.

You will be responsible for maintaining the boilers and be involved with any new projects such as refitting/remodeling of bathrooms and toilets. A successful candidate will be required to install, maintain, and repair pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems within the Hotels.

You will also be required to Inspect drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.

Key responsibilities for a Plumber:

  • Interprets blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials

  • Installs pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids

  • Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation

  • Assembles fittings and valves for installation

  • Maintaining boilers, including consulting with outside contractors if required

  • Collaborates with contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbing

  • Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes

  • Writes report documenting the problem and summary of actions taken

  • Experience in tiling, both walls and floors preferable

  • Gas registered preferred but not essential
