Commis Chef

As Commis, you will be responsible for food preparation with a good understanding of knife skills and supporting all kitchen sections. You will ensure kitchen stations are clean and will learn about hygiene regulations and practices. Stock rotation is key, and you will work with the senior chefs to ensure all food is correctly rotated and stored. Preparing and assisting in creating dishes using local produce, you will work directly under the Sous Chef, to assist the team ensuring the highest standards of product and work to develop your products and your own knowledge.

This is a great opportunity for a Commis Chef to work in a local family owned Hotel group with a fantastic team and the opportunity to move to different hotels within the group as they progress.

Ideal requirements for this Commis Chef position:-

NVQ Level 1 and 2 or equivalent

Food Hygiene Certifications

Good written and spoken English

A flexible attitude

Restaurant or hotel background

Good communication skills

Good team player

A real passion for the industry and eye for detail

Good knowledge of cooking techniques and styles
