Vacancy for: Restaurant Manager (full-time)

One of the most well-known hotel operators in Suffolk, The Hotel Folk are looking to find people like you. If you’re passionate about hospitality and an expert in restaurant management you’re the type of person we’re looking for to join our dedicated team, who pride themselves on looking after guests better than anyone else in the county.

In addition to joining The Hotel Folk, we have an opportunity for a Restaurant Manager to lead our restaurant team at our largest property, The Swan at Lavenham Hotel and Spa. During the 15th century Lavenham was the 14th richest town in the country, thanks to a thriving wool trade. Today, tourism is one of Lavenham’s main industries which has helped create the magic that surrounds this hotel, a must-see destination and a must stay hotel for UK and International visitors. The town boasts more than 300 timber-framed buildings and can happily claim to be one of the best preserved medieval villages in the UK with The Swan sitting right at its heart.

As Restaurant Manager, you will manage our two restaurants - The Gallery and The Brasserie, along with the lounge area and garden which are both perfect settings for an English afternoon tea.

As our Restaurant Manager you will need to have proven experience of employee engagement and ensuring guest satisfaction. You will need to be able to create and nurture an environment that emphasises motivation, teamwork, continuous improvement and a passion for providing a “blow-your-socks-off” hospitality experience.

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, you will be an accomplished communicator with a warm and welcoming personality, have exceptional attention to detail, immaculate presentation and experience of fine dining. You will work closely with the Head Chef and oversee Health and Safety within the department, while working a mixture of shifts on a rota basis. You will ideally have experience of Res Diary Rezlynx and will be required to cover Duty Management.

The Hotel Folk are committed to providing exceptional hospitality in our portfolio of stunning properties. We have a strong focus on training and development and can offer this fantastic opportunity to be part of a team of leading professionals within a growing hospitality brand.
